We visited Athena’s Greek and European Kitchen for lunch and was not disappointed at all! The food was amazing, the employees were very friendly and knowledgeable about the food on the menu, and the atmosphere was very welcoming! I would definitely recommend everyone to come eat here! The owner visited us after we ate and made sure we enjoyed everything, she is the absolute sweetest lady I’ve meet! Now I’m begging everyone to come eat here because of how amazing this experience was!

Shout out to Zay for being the BEST server for me and my friend today. He was so friendly and personable, checked in on us the perfect amount of times in the most natural ways, paced our meal really well, and was just an awesome conversationalist too. We ordered the Spanikopita, mousaka, and Greek fajitas and they were all stellar!! Will definitely be returning to try more! All of the staff we interacted with today were so sweet and kind.

If you want to try greek food, this is the place to go! Came here for the first time to try greek food, and did not expect to leave with this much of a lasting impression! The chef/owner was very nice and passionate about the restaurant checking up on everyone. She even treated us with her own homemade baklava! We enjoyed each dish we had- We ordered the moussaka, gyro plate, gyro sandwich, pastitsio and salad. Overall best customer service I have had, and amazing tasting food! Cannot wait to go again and try other dishes I didnt get the chance to eat. If you visit you will not regret it.

We are from Austin and drove to see some family members and they told us about this family old restaurant. Well, the pictures don’t make justice. The atmosphere was great to service. With Mr Zay was great he told us if don’t like the food that it would be on him .well Let me tell you it was great real Greek food in Texas.. you must the lamb fell off the bone

Such a great experience here! Everyone went above and beyond in service. The owner came and said hello to me and a few other customers. Very kind and sweet as you don’t find that in restaurants often nowadays. Gyuro was delicious! I loved that it came with a piece of watermelon too. Really made the meal complete . They also gifted me a piece of cake

If you want to experience authentic Greek food in Houston, I highly recommend this place! From the moment I walked in, I felt so warmly welcomed — just like at home. I ordered the beef souvlaki, and it was honestly some of the most tender, juicy, and perfectly marinated meat I’ve ever had. The flavor was incredible! The garlic bread and cheese salad served on the side made the meal even more special. If you’ve never tried Greek food before, this is the perfect place to start! I can’t wait to come back and try more dishes next time. The chef herself walked around to every table, personally checking on guests — such a thoughtful and personal touch. She even treated me to homemade baklava, which was such a sweet gesture. Amazing service, delicious food, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

Everything was delicious, and the service awesome . I ordered mussakka , it was excellent. The desserts were out of this world. John our waiter, was really polite, and sweet. Maria the owner gave us a big tray full of dessert. If you like Greek food, please visit them. You won’t regret it.
